Kato
came to me as a rescue dog the day before new years eve
2002. He was extremely skinny, had diarrhea and he was
full of parasites. He didn't have any muscle tone in his
body and he was not housebroken. After I had had him for
almost a year, I finally got hold of his first owner. She
drove 560 miles just to see that Kato was fine in my care
and fortunately she let me buy him.
With
Tender, love and care Kato became a really nice borzoi. He
put on weight, his coat grew and he developed muscles. I
showed him a few times and soon he finished his Norwegian
championship.
Kato was a very sweet dog. He was the king in the family
and was called King Kato! He became very attached to me
and wherever I went, he followed. Even when he was off
leash, he never left my side.
Unfortunately he had a problem with his hind legs and one
day when he was eight years old, one of his legs failed.
The veterinarian said it was nothing we could do for him
and we let him go. He left an empty space behind him. Kato
will always be a part of my heart and I am so grateful for
the five years I got to spend with him. |
